AbstrakBanyaknya intrusi granit berumur Trias hingga Kapur di Kepulauan Bangka Belitung berpotensi untuk dilakukan penelitian batuan dan endapan yang mengandung unsur tanah jarang. Unsur tanah jarang merupakan unsur yang sangat langka atau ditemukan sangat sedikit di alam, berupa senyawa kompleks umumnya senyawa fosfat dan karbonat. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, unsur tanah jarang semakin dibutuhkan dan umumnya pada industri teknologi tinggi. Penelitian ini berada di daerah Kacang Botor Kecamatan Badau Kabupaten Belitung Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung dengan metode geokimia soil. Hasil dari pemetaan geologi didapatkan dua satuan geomorfologi, yaitu Satuan Perbukitan Intrusi (S11) dan Satuan Dataran Denudasional Peneplains (D5). Sedangkan untuk satuan geologi didapatkan Satuan Granit dari Formasi Tanjung Pandan dan Satuan Batupasir Kuarsa dari Formasi Tajam. Berdasarkan analisis ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry) sebanyak 115 conto soil diperoleh 16 unsur dan hanya 8 unsur yang dilakukan pengolahan data. Kisaran kadar kedelapan unsur tersebut antara lain 82,79-188 ppm Ce; 23,24-66 ppm La, 17,05-66 ppm Nd, 8-89 ppm Pr, 26,93-81 Li, 16-126 ppm Y; 8-51 ppm Gd; 16-140 ppm Sn. Pola sebaran unsur tanah jarang yang didapatkan yaitu berarah barat daya - timur laut. Pola sebaran ini mengikuti pola kontur litologi granit sebagai batuan sumber dan endapan residu dengan butiran halus–kasar sebagai perangkap terendapkannya mineral tanah jarang. Unsur tanah jarang saling berasosiasi dengan unsur Sn (timah), Uranium, dan Thorium.
Abstrak (Inggris)A large of granite intrusion at Triassic to Cretaceous in Bangka Belitung was potentially for investigation of rocks and deposition that contain rare earth elements. Rare earth elements were the rare item or hard to discovered element in nature, such as complex compounds was generally phosphate and carbonate compounds. During the development of technology, rare earth elements were increasingly required and commonly in the high-tech industry. This research was conducted in the Kacang Botor area of Badau District, Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Archipelago Province with soil geochemical methods. The results of geological mapping were founded two geomorphological units that were Hills Intrusion Unit (S11) and Peneplains Denudasional Plain Unit (D5). In the same case, the geological unit was divided as Granite Unit of Tanjung Pandan Formation and Quartz Sandstone Unit of Tajam Formation. Based on the analysis of ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry) of 115 soil samples were obtained 16 elements and only 8 elements which are carried data processing. The range of the eight levels of these elements were 82,79 to 188 ppm Ce; 23,24 to 66 ppm La, 17,05 to 66 ppm Nd, 8 to 89 ppm Pr, 26.93 to 81 ppm Li, 16-126 ppm Y; 8-51 ppm Gd; and 16-140 ppm Sn. The distribution of rare earth pattern elements ware founded in southwest to southeast. This distribution pattern follow the pattern of granite contour as a source rock of rare earth elements and residue deposition with fine-coarse grains are the trap of rare earth metals. Rare earth elements associated each other with of Sn (tin), Uranium, and Thorium.
