| Judul Artikel | PENGARUH PEMBERIAN CAMPURAN BIOCHAR - PUPUK KANDANG SAPI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN BAWANG MERAH PADA TANAH PASIR PANTAI |
| Abstrak | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Menjelaskan pengaruh campuran biochar dan pupuk kandang sapi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah di tanah pasir pantai, (2) Menjelaskan pengaruh penggunaan dua macam varietas bawang merah, yakni varietas Tiron dan varietas Bima Brebes terhadap hasil bawang merah, (3) Menentukan interaksi antara pemberian biochar dan pupuk kandang sapi dengan varietas bawang merah terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Screen House dan Laboratorium Ilmu Tanah Fakultas Petanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Penelitian ini berlangsung tiga bulan dan dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2015 sampai dengan Februari 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) faktorial yang terdiri atas 2 faktor dengan 3 blok ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah perbandingan biochar : pupuk kandang sapi, terdiri dari K0 (0:0); K1 (50:0); K2 (40:10); K3 (30:20); K4 (20:30); K5 (10:40); K6 (0:50). Faktor kedua adalah dua varietas bawang merah yaitu: varietas Tiron dan varietas Bima Brebes. Variabel pengamatan yaitu: tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, panjang akar, bobot kering akar, bobot kering tajuk, jumlah umbi, bobot segar umbi, dan bobot kering umbi. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan sidik ragam pada taraf kesalahan 5%, apabila menunjukkan pengaruh nyata dilakukan uji lanjut DMRT pada taraf kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian biochar dan pupuk kandang sapi mampu memperbaiki pertumbuhan dan meningkatkan hasil tanaman bawang merah pada tanah pasir pantai seperti tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan per rumpun, bobot segar umbi, dan bobot kering umbi. Macam varietas hanya berbeda nyata pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan per rumpun, bobot segar umbi, dan bobot kering umbi. Varietas Bima dan Tiron memiliki pertumbuhan dan hasil yang sama. |
| Abstrak (Inggris) | The purposes of this research are: (1) to determine the effect of biochar and cow manure mixture to improve the growth and yield of onion in the coastal sandy soil, (2) to determine the effect of using two kinds of onion varieties that is, variety of the Tiron and variety of the Bima Brebes on yield of onion, (3) to determine the interactions between biochar and cow manure with onion varieties on growth and yield of onion plant. This research was conducted in the screen house and Soil Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. This research is passed off three months and implemented in December 2015 to February 2016.This research uses a Randomized Block Model Complete factorial consisting of two factors with three replications. The first factor is the ratio between biochar : cow manure, i.e K0 (0:0); K1 (50:0); K2 (40:10); K3 (30:20); K4 (20:30); K5 (10:40); K6 (0:50). The second factor is the two varieties of onion which are: variety of the Tiron and variety of the Bima Brebes. The observation variable i.e plant height, number of leaf, number of plantlets, root length, dry weight of root, dry weight of plants, number of tubers, fresh weight of tubers, and dry weight of tubers. The data were analyzed by ANOVA at error level of 5%, if shows the significant effect on the further DMRT error level of 5%. The result showed that giving the dosage biochar and cow manure was able to repair the growth and yield of onion in the sandy soil, as; length of plant, the number of plantlets per clump, fresh weight of tubers onion, dry weight of tubers onion. Bima and Tiron varieties had similar growth and yield. |
