AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh berbagai jenis ayam Sentul jantan terhadap bobot dan persentase tulang dan daging karkas pada umur 18 minggu. Materi penelitian menggunakan 175 ekor ayam Sentul umur 8 minggu. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan terdiri atas 5 jenis ayam Sentul diantaranya Sentul Abu (Sa), Sentul Batu (Sb), Sentul Debu (Sd), Sentul Emas (Se) dan Sentul Geni (Sg). Peubah yang diamati adalah bobot tulang karkas, persentase tulang karkas, bobot daging karkas, dan persentase daging karkas. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rataan bobot tulang karkas, persentase tulang karkas, bobot daging karkas, dan persentase daging karkas yaitu 244,57 g ± 46,54; 35,79 % ± 4,72; 371,14 g ± 57,35; dan 54,42 % ± 4,94. Hasil analisis variansi diperoleh berbagai jenis ayam Sentul jantan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P > 0,05) terhadap rataan bobot karkas, persentase tulang karkas, bobot daging karkas, dan persentase daging karkas pada umur 18 minggu. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan berbagai jenis ayam Sentun jantan menghasilkan bobot tulang karkas, persentase tulang karkas, bobot daging karkas, dan persentase daging karkas relatif sama pada umur 18 minggu.
Abstrak (Inggris)The aims of this research to know the effect of male Sentul chicken on body weight and percentage of bone and meat of carcass at 18 week old. The research used 175 at 8 week of Sentul chicken. The research used experiment method and Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatments were variety of 5 Sentul chicken : Sentul Abu (Sa), Sentul Batu (Sb), Sentul Debu (Sd), Sentul Emas (Se) and Sentul Geni (Sg). The parameters measured were carcass bone weight, carcass bone percentage, carcass meat weight, and carcass meat percentage. The result showed that the average of carcass bone weight, carcass bone percentage, carcass meat weight, and carcass meat percentage were 244,57 g ± 46,54; 35,79 % ± 4,72; 371,14 g ± 57,35; 54,42 % ± 4,94. The Analyse of Variant showed that the treatments had no significant effect (P> 0,05) on carcass bone weight, carcass bone percentage, carcass meat weight, and carcass meat percentage at 18 week old. It could be conclused that male Sentul chicken the same relatively at 18 week old.
