AbstrakPenelitian yang berjudul Produk VFA Dan N-NH3 Secara In Vitro Pada Silase Jerami Jagung Manis Yang Ditambah Bekatul dan bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses ensilase terhadap kadar VFA dan N-NH3 silase jerami jagung manis secara in vitro. Materi yang digunakan jerami jagung manis dan bekatul. Bekatul yag digunakan 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% dari bobot jerami jagung manis segar. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimental secara in vitro dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diuji yaitu R0 (2kg jerami jagung manis + 0% bekatul), R1 (2kg jerami jagung manis + 10% bekatul), R2 (2kg jerami jagung manis + 20% bekatul), dan R3 (2kg jerami jagung manis + 30% bekatul). Peubah yang diamati yaitu kadar VFA dan N-NH3. Data dihitung dengan menggunakan persamaan aljabar kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi dan diuji lanjut dengan uji beda nyata jujur (BNJ). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap VFA dan N-NH3. Rataan kadar VFA pada perlakuan R0, R1, R2, dan R3 berkisar antara 104,7 mM – 138,0 mM. Berdasarkan uji beda nyata jujur (BNJ), kadar VFA perlakuan R0, R1 dan R3 berbeda tidak nyata sedangkan perlakuan R2 nyata lebih besar dibandingkan perlakuan R0, R1, dan R3. Rataan kadar N-NH3 pada perlakuan R0, R1, R2, dan R3 berkisar antara 9,7– 14,8 mM. Berdasarkan uji beda nyata jujur (BNJ), kadar N-NH3 perlakuan R1, R2, dan R3 berbeda tidak nyata sedangkan perlakuan R0 berbeda nyata dengan R2 dan R3. Kadar VFA dan N-NH3 yang diperoleh berada dalam kisaran normal.
Abstrak (Inggris)The study, entitled VFA and N-NH3 In Vitro Products On Banana Sweet Corn Curd Silage Plus and aims to examine the process of ensilase on the levels of VFA and N-NH3 silage of sweet corn straw in vitro. The material used sweet corn straw and bran. Bekatul yag used 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% of fresh sweet corn straw weight. Research using experimental method in vitro was conducted at Nutrition and Feed Science Laboratory. The design of the research was a complete randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The tested treatments were R0 (2kg sweet corn straw + 0% bran), R1 (2kg sweet corn straw + 10% rice bran), R2 (2kg sweet corn straw + 20% bran), and R3 (2kg sweet corn straw + 30% bran). The observed variables were VFA and N-NH3 levels. Data were calculated using algebraic equations and then analyzed using variance analysis and tested further with honest real difference test (BNJ). The results showed that the treatment had significant effect (P <0.01) on VFA and N-NH3. The mean VFA levels in the treatment of R0, R1, R2, and R3 ranged from 104.7 mM to 138.0 mM. Based on the real honest difference test (BNJ), the VFA levels of treatment R0, R1 and R3 were not significantly different while the R2 treatment was significantly greater than the treatment of R0, R1, and R3. The mean N-NH3 levels in the treatment of R0, R1, R2, and R3 ranged from 9.7 to 14.8 mM. Based on the real honest difference test (BNJ), the N-NH3 treatment levels of R1, R2, and R3 were not significantly different while the R0 treatment was significantly different from R2 and R3. The levels of VFA and N-NH3 obtained are within the normal range.
