Judul ArtikelDistribusi, Kerapatan, dan Biomassa Nipah (Nypa fructicans (Wurmb.)) Di Segara Anakan Cilacap
AbstrakNipah termasuk tumbuhan dari famili Palmae, tumbuhan yang tumbuh di sepanjang sungai yang terpengaruh pasang surut air laut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kerapatan, distribusi, dan biomassa nipah di ekosistem Mangrove di Segara Anakan Cilacap. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan plot sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan 12 stasiun penelitian di kawasan hutan mangrove Segara Anakan, Cilacap. Pada setiap stasiun penelitian dibuat 3 plot dengan ukuran 10 m x 10 m dengan jarak 50 m pada setiap plotnya. Pada setiap plot dilakukan pengukuran panjang pelepah, jumlah pelepah, jumlah individu, dan diameter pelepah setinggi dada pada pohon nipah dengan perbedaan posisi pengukurannya yaitu pada ketinggian 0 m, 1 m, dan 1,3 m dari permukaan tanah. Faktor lingkungan yang diukur meliputi suhu air, suhu udara, salinitas air, pH tanah, kelembaban tanah, kandungan air dan kandungan bahan organik dalam tanah. Analisis data menggunakan varians S untuk mengetahui distribusi tumbuhan nipah, rumus kerapatan untuk mengetahui kerapatan tumbuhan nipah, dan persamaan allometrik untuk mengetahui biomassa tumbuhan nipah. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh diketahui bahwa pola distribusi dari tumbuhan nipah di kawasan hutan mangrove Segara Anakan yaitu menunjukan pola penyebaran mengelompok. Pusat distribusi nipah pada bagian tengah awasan hutan mangrove Segara Anakan.. Kerapatan dari tumbuhan nipah di kawasan hutan mangrove Segara Anakan, Cilacap sebesar 149,08 ind.ha-1. Biomassa dari tumbuhan nipah di kawasan hutan mangrove Segara Anakan, Cilacap sebesar 234,69 kg.ha-2. Faktor lingkungan yang paling berpengaruh terhadap distribusi, kerapatan, dan biomassa nipah di kawasan hutan mangrove Segara Anakan yaitu kandungan bahan organik tanah dan pH.
Abstrak (Inggris)Nypa (Nypa fruticans (Thunb.) Wurmb) is a plant that belongs to Palmae family, a plant which grows alongside the river that affected by the tidal of the sea. This plant sometimes also included in to mangrove woods plant. Nypa grows in a close group, sometimes creating a wide pure community alongside the river from near the estuary to the brackish river. The problem that appears on Segara Anakan is the silting up and the constriction of lagoon area because of the high sediment level and mangrove illegal logging which lead to the dimnish of the mangrove forest area. The aim of this research is to find out the density, the distribution and the Nypa biomass of mangrove ecosystem of Segara Anakan, Cilacap. This research uses survey and sampling method using plot sampling. This research uses 12 research stations in Mangrove forest area of Segara Anakan, Cilacap. On each station, 3 plots has been made using 10m x 10m frond with gaps of 50 metres on each plots. On each plots, there is a measuring on height and total of frond, total of an individual, and the frond diameter as tall as man's chest on Nypa with the difference of measurement position on height 0 m, 1 m , and 1.3 m from the earth surface. The environment factor that also has been measured is the temperature of water and air, water salinity, the pH and humidity of the soil, also the water content and organic material content of the soil. The data has been analyzed using S² variant to find out the Nypa distribution, density formula to find out the density of Nypa growth and the allometry equation to find out the Nypa biomass. According to the result, has been found out that the distribution pattern of nypa on Mangrove forest area of Segara Anakan Cilacap is aggregate pattern. The main point of nypa distribution is on the center of Mangrove forest area in Segara Anakan, Cilacap. The density of Nypa growth on Mangrove forest area in Segara Anakan Cilacap categorized as damaged. The biomass of nypa on Segara Anakan Cilacap is in the amount of 234,69 kg.m-2. The nypa biomass in Segara Anakan Cilacap categorized as undamaged. The most influential environment factor on the distribution, density and biomass of nypa of Mangrove forest area in Segara Anakan Cilacap is the organic material content and pH of the soil.
