| Abstrak | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui komposisi media tanam terbaik, (2) mengetahui dosis pupuk NPK yang tepat, dan (3) mengetahui kombinasi antara komposisi media tanam dan dosis pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kailan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di screen house Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto pada bulan November 2017 sampai dengan Januari 2018. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) faktorial dengan 2 faktor perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah komposisi media tanam yaitu tanah : kompos : arang sekam (2:1:1), tanah : kompos : arang sekam (1:2:1), dan tanah : kompos : arang sekam (1:2:1). Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk NPK, yaitu 0 kg/ha, 100 kg/ha, 200 kg/ha, dan 300 kg/ha. Variabel pengamatan meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, bobot tajuk segar, bobot tajuk kering, bobot akar segar, bobot akar kering, dan laju pertumbuhan relatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi media tanam terbaik adalah media tanah, kompos, dan arang sekam dengan perbandingan 1:2:1. Dosis pupuk NPK yang tepat adalah 300 kg/ha. Kombinasi perlakuan media tanah : kompos : arang sekam (1:2:1) dan dosis 300 kg/ha (M2P3) memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil yang paling tinggi. |
| Abstrak (Inggris) | This research aims to (1) determine the best composition of planting media, (2) know the exact dosage of NPK fertilizer, and (3) know the combination of planting media composition and the dosage of NPK fertilizer to growth and yield of kailan plants. This research was conducted at screen house of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Soedirman Purwokerto from November 2017 until January 2018. The experiment design used was Completely Randomized Block Design with 2 factors treatment with 3 replications. The first factor is the composition of planting medium, namely soil: compost: husk charcoal (2: 1: 1), soil: compost: husk charcoal (1: 2: 1), and soil: compost: husk charcoal (1: 1: 2). The second factor was the dose of NPK fertilizer, ie 0 kg / ha, 100 kg / ha, 200 kg / ha, and 300 kg / ha. Observational variables included plant height, leaf number, leaf area, fresh crown weight, dry canopy weight, fresh root weight, dry root weight, and relative growth rate. The results showed that the best planting media composition was soil media, compost, and charcoal husk with a ratio of 1: 2: 1. The correct dose of NPK fertilizer is 300 kg / ha. The treatment combination is the composition of soil: compost: husk charcoal (1: 2: 1) and 300 kg/ha NPK fertilizer dose provide the highest growth and yield. |
