M.A. Pembimbing 2: Lynda Susanna WAFS.S.M.Hum, Penguji: Tri Murni Kata Kunci: manusia super,mutasi,kelincahan, penyembuhan Penelitian yang berjudul “karakteristik manusia super dalam novel in Keith R. A. DeCandido’s Resident Evil: Apocalypse” bertujuan untuk menganalisis karacteristik dari karakter Alice dalam novel yang memiliki kekuatan super. Dalam penelitian ini, metode kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis data, yaitu novel karya Keith R. A DeCandido yang berjudul Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Dalam menganalisis dan mengetahui jawaban dari pertanyaan yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini,teori struktural digunakan dalam dalam menganalisis. Analisis yang dilakukan adalah dengan menganalisis sudut pandang, karakter dan kaarakterisasi, alur, dan konflik. Dengan mendapatkan unsur-unsur penting dalam novel, seperti dialog, ujaran, tindakan, narasi dan juga penokohannya sebagai unsur yang paling dominan di dalam novel. Hal ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis data berkenaan dengan rumus permasalahan tentang karakter dari manusia super. Dengan mengetahui hasil akhir dari analisis, maka langkah terakhir yaitu menyusun kesimpulan. Dari hasil analisis, didapat kesimpulan bahwa terdapat empat kekuatan super yang dimilki oleh Alice, yaitu: mutasi, pertahanan, kelincahan dan kekuatan menyembuhkan diri sendiri. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi sebuah media untuk menambah pemahaman tentang novel sebagai sebuah bentuk karya sastra. |

M.hum Keywords: Superhuman, mutation, agilility, healing factor The research entitled Characteristic of Super Human character as seen in Keith R. A. DeCandido’s Resident Evil: Apocalypse is aimed to analyze the superhuman character in the novel, especially Alice Albernathy character. In this research, qualitative method is used to analyze the data; the novel by Keith R. A Decandido entitled Resident Evil. In analyzing the novel to find the answer of the research question, the structaral theory is used. The analysis contain the analysis of intrinsic elements such as point of view, character and characterisation, plot and conflict. The researcher is obtaining the elements of the novels, such the narrations, utterances, attitudes and the characterization of Alice in the novel. It is done to get the answer of research question which is to find out the superhuman characters and ability of Alice. From the research, there are four superhuman ability of Alice, that are; mutation, superhuman enurance, superhuman agility and healing factor. These superhuman character has give Alice power to save other people and fights the cruelty company, Umbrella taht made the virus which has been infected people becomes zombies. The results of the research are expected to enrich the comprehension of novels more knowledge about psychoanalysis theory, so they can apply them in other objects. |
