AbstrakLokasi penelitian berada di Desa Citatah, Kecamatan Cipatat, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat. Daerah penelitian masuk dalam zona Bandung, tepatnya pada bukit-bukit Rajamandala dalam tatanan stratigrafi Cekungan Bogor, yang merupakan bagian formasi Rajamandala. Studi karakteristik batuan karbonat pada daerah penelitian yaitu berdasarkan data analisis petrologi dan petrografi dari data lapangan dan data core yang ada, perkembangan fasies yang ada pada daerah penelitian dimulai dari perkembangan fasies Red Algae-Head Coral Boundstone dengan matriks Red Algae dan Coral Packsone-Grainstone, fasies Platy Coral-Foraminifera Wackestone, fasies Red Algae-Platy Coral Boundstone, fasies Red Algae-Head Coral Boundstone, fasies Red Algae-Foram Packstone-Grainstone, serta fasies Mixed carbonate-silisiclastic Packstone. Lingkungan pengendapan fasies berada pada reef front dan back reef. Diagenesis yang ada pada daerah penelitian meliputi mikritisasi mikrobial, pelarutan, sementasi, neomorfisme, serta kompaksi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis foraminifera besar yang ada pada sayatan tipis dan didapatkan umur Oligosen Akhir hingga Miosen Awal.
Abstrak (Inggris)Rajamandala formation is one of Bogor Basin rock unit. The research area is located at Citatah Village, Cipatat, West Bandung, West Java area. The area is part of Rajamandala Hills within Bandung phisiographic zone. Reseach has focus in characteristic of carbonate rocks based on stratigraphy and petrography analysis is using field data and drilling core samples. Some carbonate facies has identified, those are Red algae-Head Coral Boundstone with Red Algae and Coral Packestone-Grainstone Facies, Platy Coral-Foraminifera Wackestone Facies, Red algae-Platy Coral Boundstone Facies, Red Algae-Head Coral Boundstone Facies, Red algae-Foraminifera Packestone-Grainstone Facies, and Mixed Carbonate-Sillisiclastic Packstone Facies. The depositional environment of those facies are reef front and back reef. Diagenetic processes is exist in this section are microbial micrititation, dissolution, sementation, neomorphism, and compaction that indicating two diagenetic environment; phreatic meteoric environment and burial environment. The age of the limestone is Late Oligocene to Early Miocene, based on larger benthic foraminifera analysis.
