AbstrakLimbah cair industri minyak & gas serta panas bumi banyak mengandung bahan kimia berbahaya dan beracun. Limbah cair industri minyak & gas serta panas bumi yang tidak terolah dengan baik dapat menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan dan membahayakan kesehatan manusia disekitar industri tersebut berada. Oleh karena itu setiap industri minyak & gas serta panas bumi harus memiliki IPAL agar tidak ditemukan cemaran yang berbahaya bagi lingkungan perairan dan kesehatan manusia, begitu pula PT Pertamina RU IV Cilacap. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja IPAL PT Pertamina RU IV Cilacap dalam menurunkan kadar Hidrokarbon total yaitu kandungan oil content, amonia, sulfida dan phenol dalam air limbah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional deskriptif. Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) PT Pertamina RU IV Cilacap menggunakan CPI (Corrugated Plate Interceptor), RBC (Rotating Bio Contractors) dan Holding Basin. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan parameter hidrokarbon yaitu oil content, amonia, sulfida dan phenol telah memenuhi baku mutu yang ditetapkan dalam Peraturan Menteri Negara Lingkungan Hidup Nomor 19 Tahun 2010. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kinerja Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) PT Pertamina RU IV Cilacap sudah baik dan air limbah bisa dibuang ke lingkungan. Pengolahan limbah di PT Pertamina RU IV Cilacap bisa di aplikasikan ke industri lain yang menghasilkan limbah sejenis.
Abstrak (Inggris)Liquid waste of oil and gas as well as geothermal industries mostly contains hazardous and toxic chemicals. Liquid waste of oil and gas as well as geothermal that is not treated properly may cause environmental pollution and endanger human health in the surrounding area of the industry. Therefore, every oil and gas and geothermal industry such as PT Pertamina RU IV Cilacap must have Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) in order to create zero contamination that is harmful to the aquatic environment and human health. This research was conducted to evaluate the performance of the WWTP of PT Pertamina RU IV Cilacap in lowering the total hydrocarbon level; those are oil content, ammonia, sulphide and phenols in waste water. This research was a descriptive observational study. Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) of PT Pertamina RU IV Cilacap used CPI (Corrugated Plate Interceptor), RBC (Rotating Biological Contactors) and the Holding Basin. Measurement results showed that the parameters of hydrocarbon; oilcontent, ammonia, sulphide and phenols had met the quality standards set out in the Regulation of the Minister of Environment No. 19 2010. It could be concluded that the performance of the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) PT Pertamina RU IV Cilacap was exemplary and the waste water could be discharged into the environment. Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) of PT Pertamina RU IV Cilacap could be applied to other industries that produce similar waste.
