AbstrakThe research was entitled “Factors Affecting Labor Production at Pandatex Textile Company in Magelang Regency”. The research aimed to know the effects of variables of wages, education level, work experience, health history, family member, distance, age, and work systems on labor production, to seek the most influential variable on labor production at PT. Pandatex. The research method was a survey by using descriptive analysis. Multiple linear regression was the data analysis technique. The sampling method was simple random sampling because the population was heterogeneous. The results showed that variables of wage, work experience, education, health history, family member and work system, partially had significant effect on labor production. This meant that by the increasing of each variable (wage, work experience, education, health history, family member and work system), it increased the amount of labor production. Variable of age and distance did not affect significantly on labor production. But simultaneously, variables of wage, work experience, education, health history, family member, distance, age, and work system affected labor production. Wage was the most influential variable on labor production. If the workforce wage was high, it will increase labor production. Conversely, when labor wage was low will reduce the labor production. The implications were the companys needed to consider a variety of variables that affected the rise and fall of labor production. The efforts were to improve health care and decent guarantee for employees living and employee age limit so that the labor production can be optimum, to increase training for employees in order to increase employee and HR experience. Wage variable was the most influential one on labor production. To increase the labor wage, company could perform a number of ways such as competitive system, where there was an additional bonus for diligent and discipline workers. Other way was to coordinate with the local government and Desperindag associated with regional minimum wage (UMR).
