Abstrak | Penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui senyawa utama, karakteristik, aktivitas antibakteri dan Kosentrasi Hambat Tumbuh Minimum (KHTM) minyak atsiri fuli pala dariBanyumas terhadap bakteri E. coli. Fuli pala ditentukan kadar airnya dan didestilasi air. Minyak atsiri ditentukan rendemen dan sifat fisik (densitas, indeks bias, dan putaran optik) serta diidentifikasi senyawa utamanya dengan GC-MS. Minyak atsiri fuli diuji aktivitasantibakteri dan ditentukan KHTM dengan metode difusi. Fuli mempunyai kadar air 7.52% dan minyak atsiri fuli yang diperoleh memiliki rendemen 27.80%. Densitas, indeks bias, danputaran optik minyak atsiri fuli secara berurutan adalah 0.9276 g/cm3, 1.4891, dan +12.25o. Hasil identifikasi dengan GC-MS diperoleh 5 komponen utama yaitu myristisin (25.05%), sabinen (11.82%), terpinen-4-ol (10.41%), alfa-pinen (7.29%), dan beta-pinen (7.23%). Minyak atsiri fuli terbukti memiliki aktivitas antibakteri. Pada konsentrasi 25% v/v diameter zonajernihnya 12.12 mm dan pada tetrasiklin 25% v/v dihasilkan zona jernih 26.86 mm yangmenunjukkan aktivitas antibakteri minyak atsiri fuli lebih rendah dibanding tetrasiklin.KHTM minyak atsiri fuli 0.75% v/v dengan diameter zona jernih 0.015 mm. |
Abstrak (Inggris) | The research has been done to find out the main compound, characteristics, antibacterial activities and Minimum Growth Resistance Concentration (KHTM) of nutmeg mace essential oils Banyumas foward bacteria E. coli. Nutmeg mace is determined its water contents and distilled water. Essential oil is determined the rendemen and physical properties (density, refractive index, and optical rotation) as well as the main compounds identified by GC-MS. Mace essential oils are tested antibacterial activity and KHTM is determined with diffusion method. Mace has a 7.52% water content and essential oil obtained mace has a 27.80% rendemen. Density, refractive index, and optical rotation which is obtain by GC-MS is mace essential oil as chronological is 0.9276 g/cm3, 1.4891, and +12.25o. Identification results with GC-MS obtained 5 main components myristisin (25.05%), sabinen (11.82%), terpinen-4-ol (10.41%), α-pinene (7.29%), and β-pinene (7.23%). Mace essential oil has proven its antibacterial activity. In concentration of 25% v/v the diameter of the clear zone is 12.12 mm and in the tetracycline 25% v/v is produced a clear zone of 26.86 mm which showed antibacterial activity of mace essential oil lower than tetracycline. KHTM mace essential oil 0.75% v/v with clear zone diameter is 0.015 mm. |
