AbstrakPenggunaan tanaman toleran merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil pada kondisi cekaman kekeringan. Penelitian toleransi sebelas genotip kedelai terhadap cekaman kekeringan bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui respon dan potensi hasil sebelas genotip kedelai terhadap cekaman kekeringan, 2) mengetahui tingkatan toleransi cekaman kekeringan pada sebelas genotip kedelai, 3) mengetahui galur kedelai yang toleran terhadap cekaman kekeringan. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial 2 faktor dengan 3 kali ulangan. Faktor pertama berupa sebelas genotipe kedelai, yakni G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6, G7, G8, G9, Slamet, dan Grobogan. Faktor kedua berupa cekaman kekeringan yang terdiri atas tiga taraf, yaitu 90% kapasitas lapang (KL), 60% KL, dan 30% KL. Perlakuan diberikan pada saat tanaman sudah memasuki fase R1 (pembungaan). Variabel yang diamati adalah panjang akar, volume akar, buku utama, buku total, tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, bobot kering akar, bobot kering tajuk, polong total per tanaman, polong isi per tanaman, biji total per tanaman, biji utuh per tanaman, bobot biji utuh, bobot biji keriput, bobot biji total, bobot 100 biji, dan umur tanaman. Data dianalisis dengan uji F dilanjutkan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) Genotip G10, G3, dan G4 mempunyai respon dan hasil lebih baik dibanding genotip lainnya terhadap cekaman kekeringan, dilihat dari variabel jumlah polong total, jumlah polong isi, biji total, biji utuh, dan bobot biji utuh per tanaman. 2) Berdasarkan hasil Stress Tolerance Index (STI) genotip yang toleran terhadap pemberian air 60% kapasitas lapang yaitu G10, G3, G4, dan G1, sedangkan genotip yang moderat yaitu G11 dan G2, genotip yang peka yaitu G9, G6, G7, G5, dan G8. 3) Berdasarkan hasil STI genotip yang toleran terhadap pemberian air 30% kapasitas lapang yaitu G10 dan G4, sedangkan genotip yang lainnya tergolong peka.
Abstrak (Inggris)The implementation of drought tolerant soybean genotypes is one of many efforts to improve the production level of soybeans. This drought tolerance reserach of eleven soybean genotypes was aimed to: 1) figure out the response and potential production of eleven soybean genotypes towards drought, 2) determine the drought level tolerance for each genotype, 3) figure out which soybean line is tolerant towards drought. This reserach used a factorial randomized block design with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the eleven soybean genotypes which were include: G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6, G7, G8, G9, Slamet and Grobogan. The second factor was the drought treatment, consisted of three levels: 90% of field capacity (FC), 60% of FC, and 30% of FC. Treatments were given during the R1 (flowering) stage of soybean. The variables measured were root length, root volume, main node, total node, plant height, total branch, dry root weight, dry shoot weight, seed number per plant, total pods per plant, filled pods per plant, intact seed per plants, intact seed weight, wrinkled seed weight, total seed weight, 100 seeds weight, and plant's age. Data were analyzed in F-test then continued in Least Significant Difference Test (LSD) at 95% significance level. The result showed: 1) G10, G3, and G4 had a both better response and yield production level towards drought, observed from total pods, total filled pods, total seeds, intact seeds, and intact seeds weight for plant 2) Based on the Stress Tolerance Index (STI) result, showed that the most tolerant genotype towards 60% of field capacity watering level were G10, G3, G4, and G1, the moderate genotypes were G2 and G11, meanwhile the succeptible genotypes were G9, G6, G7, G5, dan G8. 3) Based on the Stress Tolerance Index (STI) result, showed that the most tolerant genotype towards 30% of field capacity watering level were G10 and G4, meanwhile the other genotypes were succeptible.
