| Abstrak | Latar Belakang: Anak usia pra sekolah sedang mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat. Salah satu aspek perkembangan yang cukup penting bagi anak pra sekolah yaitu kepercayaan diri. Cara yang biasa dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri anak yaitu dengan token economy. Namun, dibutuhkan alternatif untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri anak yaitu melalui metode bercerita dengan media video. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode bercerita dengan media video terhadap kepercayaan diri anak pra sekolah di Pos PAUD Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara. Metode : Desain penelitian non randomized pretest-posttest with control group design. Jumlah responden 28 dengan consecutive sampling. Analisa data uji t tidak berpasangan, uji t berpasangan, uji Spearman, dan uji Chi Square. Hasil : Mayoritas responden berusia 4,5 tahun dan jenis kelamin perempuan. Terdapat perbedaan skor kepercayaan diri pada anak pra sekolah, baik di kelompok kontrol dengan token economy (p= 0,007) maupun di kelompok intervensi dengan metode bercerita dengan media video (p= 0,000). Namun, tidak terdapat perbedaan antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol (p= 0,191). Tidak didapatkan hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan usia (p= 0,623) dan jenis kelamin (p= 0,445). Kesimpulan : Metode bercerita dengan media video mampu meningkatkan skor kepercayaan diri anak, sama halnya dengan metode token economy. Keduanya dapat saling mendukung jika dilakukan secara bersamaan. |
| Abstrak (Inggris) | Background: Preschool age is the golden time for a child to develop. One of development aspect which is important for preschool child is self confidence. The ordinary way to develop children self confidence is by using token economy. However, the alternative method which is needed to improve the children self confidence is story telling method by using video. Purpose: To know the influence of storytelling by using video toward the development of preschool children’s self confidence at the early education school in the North Purwokerto sub district. Method: The researcher used non randomized pretest-posttest with control group design. The amount of respondents were 28 using consecutive sampling. Data analysis used non paired sample t-test, paired t-test, Spearman test, and Chi Square test. Result: The majority respondents were 4.5 years old and female. There was no relationship between age and children’s self confidence (p= 0.623). There was no relationship between sex and children’s self confidence (p=0.445). There was difference in preschool child’s self confidence score. In control group by using token economy (p= 0.007) as well as in invention group using story telling using video (p= 0.000). However, there was no difference between invention group and control group (0.191). There was no relationship between self confidence with age (p= 0.623) and sex (p= 0.445). Conclusion: Storytelling by using video is able to develop children self confidence’s score, along with token economy method. Both of them are support each other when used together. |
