| Abstrak | Balai Benih Ikan (BBI) Sidabowa merupakan Unit Pelaksana Teknis (UPT) yang berdiri di bawah naungan Dinas Perikanan untuk menghasilkan benih ikan dan untuk membina usaha budidaya ikan, salah satunya adalah ikan Tawes (Barbonymus gonionotus). Salah satu permasalahan yang sering terjadi dalam budidaya ikan dan menjadi penyebab turunnya tingkat produksi ikan, yaitu disebabkan oleh parasit, dimana parasit yang sering menyerang ikan adalah Trichodina sp. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui prevalensi Trichodina sp. dan mengetahui jenis-jenis Trichodina sp. pada benih ikan Tawes (Barbonymus gonionotus) di Balai Benih Ikan (BBI) Sidabowa, Kabupaten Banyumas. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada benih ikan tawes berukuran 3-7 cm. Trichodina sp. diamati pada insang, dan sirip-sirip pada benih ikan, kemudian dipreparasi dan diwarnai menggunakan AgNO3. Prevalensi yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini adalah 75% dan termasuk dalam kategori “usually”, dimana Trichodina sp. banyak ditemukan di insang. Hasil identifikasi spesies Trichodina sp. pada benih ikan tawes (Barbonymus gonionotus) di Balai Benih Ikan Sidabowa Kabupaten Banyumas diantaranya spesies Trichodina acuta, Trichodina nobilis, dan Trichodina heterodentata. |
| Abstrak (Inggris) | Fish Hatcheries Center (BBI) Sidabowa is a Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) which is established under the auspices of the Fisheries Service to produce fish fries and to foster fish farming, one of which is Java Barb fish (Barbonymus gonionotus). One of the problems which often occur in fish farming and become the cause of the decline in the level of fish production is caused by parasites, in which parasites that often attack fish are Trichodina sp. This research study aims to determine the prevalence of Trichodina sp. and to identify the species of Trichodina sp. on the Java Barb fries (Barbonymus gonionotus) from the Sidabowa Fish Hatcheries Center (BBI) in Banyumas Regency. This research study is done to Java Barb fry sized 3-7 cm. Trichodina sp. is observed from Java Barb fry’s gills and fins, then the fish is prepared and stained with AgNO3. Prevalence of Trichodina sp. in the Java Barb fish fries at Sidabowa Fish Hatcheries Center in Banyumas Regency is 75%, and categorized as "usually", in which Trichodina sp. is found many in gills. Identification results of Trichodina sp. on the java barb fish found Trichodina acuta, Trichodina nobilis, and Trichodina heterodentata species. |
