AbstrakPerubahan struktur organisasi pramuka Dewan Kerja Cabang Gerakan Pramuka Banyumas dalam satu periode membutuhkan peran komunikasi dalam organisasi untuk mempertahankan prestasi secara internal dan eksternal. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis komunikasi organisasi vertikal dan horizontal Dewan Kerja Cabang Gerakan Pramuka Banyumas dalam menjaga prestasi organisasinya secara internal dan eksternal setelah adanya perubahan struktur organisasi dalam satu periode. Penelitian dikaji dengan teori Penetrasi Sosial dan Konsep Kunci Komunikasi Organisasi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan penelitian ditentukan secara purposif terdiri atas dewan kerja yang aktif dalam Kwartir Cabang Gerakan Pramuka Banyumas sejak tahun 2016. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komunikasi efektif secara vertikal dan horizontal dengan pengembangan hubungan interpersonal antaranggotanya dapat mempertahankan prestasi internal dan eksternal organisasi meskipun terdapat perubahan struktur dalam satu periode. Sehingga dibutuhkan adanya komunikasi yang efektif antaranggota secara vertikal dan horizontal dalam organisasi untuk dapat mempertahankan prestasinya.
Abstrak (Inggris)Organizational structure changes of Council in Banyumas Regency known as Scout Movement in one period requires the role of communication in its organization to retain achievement internally and externally. The objectives of this research ware to analyze the organizational communication vertically as well as horizontally happening in Banyumas Council as an action to preserve its organizational achievements both by internally and externally after changing the organizational structure in one period. The study was examined with the theory of Social Penetration and Key Concepts Organizational Communication. Qualitative approach was taken as method of this research. Meanwhile, the informants of this research were determined purposively which consist of active members occupying in Council in Banyumas Regency as a Scout Movement since 2016. The data collection were using interviews, observations and documentations whilst the data analysis were applying interactive model analysis. The results of the study indicated that the effective communication both vertically and horizontally with relationship interpersonal development across the members can defend internal achievements and external organization even though there were structural changes in one period. Therefore, there is a need for effective communication amongst the members vertically and horizontally in organizations in order to maintain their achievements.
