| Abstrak | Artikel hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan mendeskripsikan peran orang kuat lokal dan politik jaringan khususnya pada peran Perguruan silat Setia Hati Terate (PSHT) dalam politik tingkat lokal di Kabupaten Madiun tahun 2018. Dalam hal ini, penelitian dilakukan untuk menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan peran Perguruan Silat Setia Hati Terate (PSHT) dalam politik tingkat lokal di Kabupaten Madiun tahun 2018. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan studi kasus dalam bingkai perspektif strukturalis dan paradigma non-positivisme, khususnya konstruktivisme, hasil penelitian tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa Fenomena keberadaan jaringan PSHT yang menjadi kekuatan politik ini menegaskan bahwa perguruan silat di Madiun tidak hanya bergerak dalam hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan dunia persilatan, tetapi juga bergerak dalam ranah politik ketika telah memiliki legitimasi atau kepercayaan dari masyarakat. Selain itu, perguruan silat yang masuk ke ranah politik elektoral memiliki mekanisme keterlibatan berupa afiliasi terhadap partai politik dan harus memiliki modal massa yang dapat ditransformasikan menjadi modal politik di dalam kontestasi politik elektoral. Selain itu bukti bahwa PSHT mendominasi dalam Pilkada Madiun 2018 adalah hadirnya broker suara dari kubu PSHT kepada pasangan Djosto yang notabane nya lawan dari pasangan BERKAH. Isu perpecahan internal di kubu PSHT bukan lagi isapan jempol belaka, dikarenakan ada oknum yang membelot dan tidak menjalankan ketentuan untuk mendukung pasangan BERKAH. Secara teoretis dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa sebuah peran dan jaringan sosial akan berpotensi menjadi modal politik ketika salah seorang anggotanya jaringan masuk pada ranah politik praktis. Fenomena ini dicontohkan oleh Ahmad Dawami Ragil Saputro dan Hari Wuryanto sebagai bagian dari jaringan PSHT yang menjadi kandidat kepala daerah di Madiun dengan masuk sebagai kader Demokrat dan Golkar. Modal politik yang berasal dari adanya jaringan ini dapat disebut dengan istilah ‘kekuatan informal’ (informal power) yang terdiri dari organisasi masyarakat atau non-kepartaian. Sedangkan, konsep kekuatan politik yang berasal dari partai politik dapat disebut dengan istilah ‘kekuatan formal’ ( formal power) yang terdiri dari partai politik atau institusi politik pemerintahan. |
