Judul ArtikelKAJIAN KARAKTER FISIOLOGIS DAN HASIL KEDELAI BERDASARKAN BENTUK DAUN DAN PERBEDAAN POPULASI TANAMAN
Abstrak (Inggris)Efforts to increase soybean production can be made through optimizing existing land area by increasing plant population per unit area. Physiological studies related to the shape of the leaves are closely related to the reception of sunlight needed for photosynthesis. The purpose of this study is to: 1) determine the effect of population levels, leaf shapes, and interactions between the two and 2) determine the population level and leaf shape of soybean plants that can provide the best results on the physiological character, growth, and yield of soybean plants. The study was conducted in February to July 2019 in exfarm land and the Agronomy and Horticulture Laboratory, Unsoed. The study used factorial randomized block design with 2 treatment factors, namely soybean population as the main plot consisting of 4 types, namely P1 = Population 333,333 plants / ha, P2 = Population 250,000 plants / ha, P3 = Population 166,666 plants / ha, and P4 = population of 125,000 plants / ha. Factor II is the form of soybean leaves, consisting of 3 levels, namely B1 = Lanceolate Leaf Shape, B2 = Oval Leaf Shape, B3 = Slightly Round Leaf Shape. The results showed that the level of plant population that is increasingly rare will tend to produce higher growth. The wider leaf shape of the soybean plant will tend to produce lower growth. Treatment interactions of increasingly dense plant populations and narrow leaf shapes tend to produce greater growth. The best treatment in producing the highest seed weight per hectare is in the treatment P2 (population 250,000) and leaf shape B2 and B3 (oval and slightly rounded leaf shape).
