Judul ArtikelPENGGUNAAN ACIDIFIER SEBAGAI FEED ADDITIVE DALAM PAKAN YANG MENGANDUNG PROBIOTIK TERHADAP N-NH3 DAN KADAR AIR FESES AYAM BROILER
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui acidifier yang terbaik untuk menurunkan kadar N-NH3 dan kadar air feses ayam broiler pada pakan yang mengandung probiotik. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 27 September 2019 – 31 oktober 2019, bertempat di Experimental farm untuk pemeliharaan, dan untuk analisis N-NH3 dan kadar air feses bertempat Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimen secara in-vivo dengan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang berpengaruh akan diuji lanjut dengan uji beda nyata jujur (BNJ). Perlakuan yang diuji adalah penambahan acidifier yaitu, R0 = pakan basal, R1= pakan basal + asam laktat, R2= pakan basal; + asam sitrat, R3= pakan basal + asam format. Acidifier diberikan pada air minum dengan konsentrasi 1% dari bobot badan ayam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan menunjukkan bahwa rataan kadar N-NH3 yaitu berkisar antara antara 0,252 ppm – 0,266 ppm, sedangkan kadar air feses 43,93% – 47,83%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kadar N-NH3 dan kadar air feses ayam broiler. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kadar N-NH3 dan kadar air feses ayam broiler. Disimpulkan bahwa ke tiga acidifier (asam sitrat, asam laktat, dan asam format) mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan probiotik dan menurunkan bakteri patogen di saluran pencernaan ayam broiler yang ditandai rendahnya deaminasi feses yang terukur dari rendahnya kadar N-NH3 dan kadar air feses.
Abstrak (Inggris)This study aimed to determine the most effective acidifier to be combined with a probiotic-supplemented diet on lowering the level of N-NH3 and water content in broiler chicken feces. This study were conducted from September 27 to October 31, 2019. The maintenance of chickens was conducted in experimental farm, while N-NH3 and water content analysis were performed in the Laboratory of Animal Feed and Nutrition Sciences, Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Experiment was conducted in-vivo with 4 treatments (R0 = basal feed; R1= basal feed + lactic acid; R2= basal feed + citric acid; R3= basal feed + formic acid) and 5 repetitions. Each type of acidifier were mixed in drinking water at a concentration of 1% of chicken body weight. The significant results were further analyzed using HSD (honestly significant difference) test. Results of this study showed the average levels of N-NH3 ranged from 0.252 ppm – 0.266 ppm and water ranged from 43.93% – 47.83% were contained in chicken feces. However, statistical analysis showed that the results were not significantly different compared to the control group. It can be concluded that three types of acidifier (citric acid, lactic acid, and formic acid) are able to increase the growth of probiotics and decrease the pathogenic bacteria in digestive track of broiler chicken. That condition is caused by low deamination that can be indicated by low levels of N-NH3 and water content of feces.
