Judul ArtikelEfektivitas Aromaterapi Jasmine Terhadap Skala Nyeri Perineum Pasien Postpartum
Abstrak (Inggris)Background: One of the most common complaints experienced by postpartum mothers is perineum pain caused by perineum injuries due to spontaneous rupture or episiotomy procedures during childbirth. The compounds of linalool and linalyl acetate in jasmine aromatherapy have analgesic effects which are useful in treating pain. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of jasmine aromatherapy on the perineum pain scale in postpartum patients. Methods: This study used a quasy experiment method with a two-group pre-test and post-test design approach consisting of 26 respondents in the control group and 26 respondents in the experimental group. The bivariate data analysis used parametric test and nonparamateric test. Results: The Wilcoxon Test bivariate analysis in the experimental group showed a p-value of 0.000 (p-value < 0.05), while in the control group the Paired-Test showed a result of 0.083 (p-value > 0.05). Bivariate analysis of pain scale after intervention differences in the two groups using the Mann-Whitney U showed a p-value of 0.000 (p-value < 0.05) so that it can be stated that if there is an effect of jasmine aromatherapy on the perineal pain scale with the hypothesis (Ha) accepted. Conclusion: Giving jasmine aromatherapy as complementary therapy for 20 minutes in four meetings is effective for reducing perineum pain scale on postpartum pain.
