| Abstrak | Judul penelitian ini adalah “Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja Sektor Industri Pengolahan Di Kabupaten Karawang”. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh produk domestik regional bruto (PDRB), jumlah industri pengolahan, tingkat inflasi, dan tingkat upah minimum kabupaten/kota (UMK), secara individu dan bersama-sama, dalam penyerapan tenaga kerja di sektor industri pengolahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui metode dokumentasi tanpa kuisioner dari data resmi yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah Kbaupaten Karawang selama periode 2012-2018. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda dengan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara individu, variabel PDRB berpengaruh secara signifikan dan negatif, sedangkan jumlah industri pengolahan berpengaruh secara signifikan dan positif terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja industri pengolahan. Lalu, inflasi dan upah minimum kabupaten/kota tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja industri pengolahan. Kemudian secara bersama-sama, variabel PDRB, jumlah industri pengolahan, inflasi, dan upah minimum kabupaten/kota secara bersama-sama mempunyai pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja industri pengolahan. Dilihat dari kesimpulan di atas, implikasi yang terjadi adalah pemberian bimbingan dan dorongan mengenai produktivitas pada industri pengolahan, khususnya sektor padat karya, agar terjadi peningkatan dalam penyerapan tenaga kerja serta produk domestik regional bruto yang dihasilkan. Kemudian perlu diperhatikan rancangan kebijakan dalam hal perkembangan jumlah industri pengolahan sehingga tersedia kesempatan yang lebih besar untuk para pencari kerja. Kerja sama yang berkesinambungan antara PDRB, jumlah industri pengolahan, tingkat inflasi, dan upah minimum kabupaten/kota berdampak terhadap naiknya angka penyerapan tenaga kerja industri pengolahan di Kabupaten Karawang. |
| Abstrak (Inggris) | The title of this research is "Factors Affecting Labor Absorption in the Manufacturing Sector in Karawang Regency". This study aims to determine the effect of regional gross domestic product (GRDP), the number of manufacturing industries, the inflation rate, and the regency/city minimum wage (UMK), individually and collectively, in the absorption of labor in the manufacturing sector. This study uses secondary data obtained through the documentation method without a questionnaire from official data issued by the Karawang Regency government during the 2012-2018 period. The analytical technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results showed that individually, the GRDP variable had a significant and negative effect, while the number of manufacturing industries had a significant and positive effect on the absorption of labor in the manufacturing industry. Then, inflation and the district/city minimum wage do not significantly affect the absorption of labor in the manufacturing industry. Then together, the variables of GRDP, the number of manufacturing industries, inflation, and the regency/city minimum wage have a significant influence on the absorption of labor in the manufacturing industry of Karawang Regency. Judging from the conclusions above, the implication is the provision of guidance and encouragement regarding productivity in the manufacturing industry, especially the labor-intensive sector, so that there is an increase in labor absorption and the resulting gross regional domestic product. Then it is necessary to pay attention to the design of policies in terms of the development of the number of manufacturing industries so that there are greater opportunities for job seekers. Continuous cooperation between GRDP, number of manufacturing industries, inflation rate, and regency/city minimum wages have an impact on increasing the absorption rate of manufacturing industry workers in Karawang Regency. |
