| Abstrak | Tanaman tomat di Indonesia terdiri dari berbagai jenis, dan salah satunya adalah tomat rempai. Tomat merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang kaya nutrisi serta memiliki banyak kegunaan. Sistem budidaya tomat secara konvensional masih belum memenuhi permintaan yang ada karena terkendala kondisi iklim yang kurang menentu, kurangnya nutrisi, dan minimnya pengendalian hama dan penyakit. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya inovasi seperti sistem hidroponik agar produktivitas tanaman dapat meningkat. Sistem ini memungkinkan pemberian nutrisi lebih terkontrol serta tersedianya media tanam yang memiliki kapasitas tinggi dalam menahan nutrisi, sehingga kebutuhan nutrisi tanaman dapat terpenuhi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbandingan dosis formula A dan B pupuk AB Mix dan media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tuwel, Kecamatan Bojong, Kabupaten Tegal dari bulan Februari sampai Juni 2021. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri dari 2 faktor, yaitu perbandingan dosis formula A dan formula B pupuk AB (D0 = 1:1, D1 = 1:2, D2 = 1:3, D3 = 2:1, D4 =3:1) dan faktor media tanam (M1 = arang sekam dan M2 = rockwool). Variabel yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, keliling batang, bobot segar tajuk, bobot segar akar, bobot kering tajuk, bobot kering akar, dan bobot buah per tanaman. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji-F, dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf kesalahan 5% apabila terdapat perbedaan nyata pada perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan perbandingan dosis formula A dan formula B pupuk AB Mix tidak memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik dibandingkan kontrol pada variabel bobot segar tajuk, bobot segar akar, bobot kering tajuk, dan bobot kering akar. Perbandingan dosis formula A dan formula B pupuk AB Mix dan media tanam menunjukkan interaksi nyata terhadap jumlah daun, bobot segar tajuk, bobot segar akar, bobot kering tajuk, dan bobot kering akar dengan interaksi terbaik ditunjukkan oleh perlakuan D3M1 (dosis 2:1 dan arang sekam) pada variabel bobot segar akar dan bobot kering akar. | Abstrak (Inggris) | Indonesia has many types of tomato and one of them is cherry tomato (rempai). Tomato is a horticultural plant rich in nutrients and has many uses. Conventional method in tomato cultivation system still does not meet the existing demand due to the uncertain climate condition, lack of nutrients, and inappropriate pest control. Therefore, it needs innovations such as hydroponic system in order to increase the productivity. This system allows for more controlled nutrition and the use of planting media with good capacity in holding nutrients, so that the plant can absorb them sufficiently. This study aimed to know the effects formula A and B dose ratio of AB Mix fertilizer and planting medium on the growth and yield of tomato plant. This study was conducted in Tuwel Village, Bojong Sub-district, Tegal Regency from February to June 2021. The study used a Randomized Block Design consisted of 2 factors, namely dose ratio of AB Mix fertilizer (D0 = 1:1, D1 = 1:2, D2 =1:3, D3 = 2:1, and D4 = 3:1) and planting media (M1 = rice husk charcoal and M2 = rockwool). The observed variables included plant height, leaf number, stem diameter, shoot fresh weight, root fresh weight, shoot dry weight, root dry weight, and fruit weight per plant. The data obtained were analyzed by the F-test, and continued by the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at an error rate of 5% if there is a significant difference in the treatments. The results showed that the addition of formula A and formula B dose ratio of AB Mix fertilizer did not give a better effect compared to the control group on the variables of shoot fresh weight, root fresh weight, shoot dry weight, and root dry weight. The formula A and formula B dose ratio of AB Mix fertilizer and planting media showed a significant interaction on the leaf number, shoot fresh weight, root fresh weight, shoot dry weight, and root dry weight. The best interaction effect was shown by D3M1 (dose ratio 2:1 and rice husk charcoal) on the variables of root fresh weight and root dry weight. Both AB mix fertilizer and planting media did not significantly affect the yield of tomato plant. Key words: cherry tomato (Rempai), planting media, AB Mix fertilizer |
