| Abstrak | Kecamatan Burau adalah salah satu daerah penghasil padi yang beroperasi di Kabupaten Luwu Timur, Sulawesi Selatan. Sulawesi selatan merupakan lumbung padi nasional yang berada di wilayah Indonesia bagian timur. Produksi dan produktivitas padi di Kecamatan Burau dalam 5 tahun terakhir mengalami fluktuasi cenderung menurun tidak sejalan dengan luas lahan dan jumlah petani meningkat. Petani juga belum dapat melakukan manajemen biaya dengan baik terkait dengan usahataninya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Mengetahui tingkat efisiensi teknis usahatani yang dicapai oleh petani padi di Kecamatan Burau, Kabupaten Luwu Timur 2) Mengetahui tingkat efisiensi alokatif dan ekonomi usahatani yang dicapai oleh petani padi di Kecamatan Burau, Kabupaten Luwu Timur. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Burau, Kabupaten Luwu Timur, Sulawesi Selatan pada bulan Desember 2020. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan Stratified Random Sampling dan diperoleh responden sebanyak 92 orang petani padi. Metode analisis yang digunakan analisis fungsi produksi stochastic frontier dan dual frontier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usahatani padi di Kecamatan Burau telah efisien secara teknis namum belum efisien secara alokatif dan ekonomis. Nilai efisiensi teknis, alokatif dan ekonomis masing-masing sebesar 0,97, 0,63, dan 0,61. Faktor produksi yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil produksi yaitu lahan, pupuk dan pestisida, sedangkan benih dan tenaga kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Efek inefisiensi yang diduga bepengaruh terhadap produksi yaitu usia dan pengalaman usahatani. |
| Abstrak (Inggris) | Burau District is one of the rice producing areas operating in East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi. South Sulawesi is a national rice barn located in eastern Indonesia. Rice production and productivity in Burau Subdistrict in the last 5 years have fluctuated tend to decrease not in line with land area and the number of farmers increases. Farmers also have not been able to do cost management well related to their farming. This study aims to 1) Knowing the level of technical efficiency of farming achieved by rice farmers in Burau District, East Luwu Regency 2) Knowing the level of alocative efficiency and agricultural economy achieved by rice farmers in Burau District, East Luwu Regency. This research was conducted in Burau District, East Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi in December 2020. The research method used is the survey method. Sampling using Stratified Random Sampling and obtained by respondents as many as 92 rice farmers. The analysis method used is the analysis of stochastic frontier and dual frontier production functions. The results showed that rice farming in Burau Subdistrict has been technically efficient but has not been efficient in an allocative and economical manner. Technical, allocative and economic efficiency values of 0.97, 0.63, and 0.61, respectively. Production factors that have a significant effect on production results are land, fertilizers and pesticides, while seeds and labor have no significant effect. The effects of inefficiency that are suspected to affect production are age and experience of farmers. |
