AbstrakTanaman aren (Arenga pinnata (Wurmb) Merr.) merupakan tanaman perkebunan yang termasuk ke dalam keluarga Araceae atau pinang-pinangan. Pengetahuan tentang karakter agronomi yang meliputi aspek vegetatif dan generatif tanaman aren diperlukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terhadap produk nira yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Mengetahui keragaman agronomi tanaman aren di Desa Sunyalangu, Kecamatan Karanglewas, Kabupaten Banyumas. 2) Mengetahui pengaruh faktor agronomi terhadap hasil nira pada tanaman aren. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara survei di Dusun Semaya Desa Sunyalangu, Kecamatan Karanglewas, Kabupaten Banyumas. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2021 sampai Maret 2022. Survei dilakukan untuk menentukan titik sampel tanaman aren, data wawancara terkait aspek sosial petani penderes aren dan kondisi lingkungan sekitar sampel. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan penentuan tanaman aren menghasilkan (TM) yang sedang dipanen hasilnya. Pengukuran dilakukan terhadap karakter vegetatif dan karakter generatif serta hasil nira aren, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan alat bantu Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Hasil pengamatan tanaman aren di Desa Sunyalangu berdasarkan ketinggian tempat yaitu ≤600, 600 – 700, dan ≥ 700 m dpl menunjukan adanya keragaman terhadap karakter vegetatif dan generatif tanaman, serta hasil nira yang terkait dengan faktor usia tanaman. Faktor agronomi tanaman aren pada variabel vegetatif berupa jumlah anak daun memiliki pengaruh terhadap volume produksi dan kadar gula terkandung (brix), sedangkan pada faktor agronomi lainnya pada variabel vegetatif dan variabel generatif tidak berpengaruh terhadap volume produksi, kadar gula terkandung (brix), dan kadar pH nira.
Abstrak (Inggris)Sugar palm (Arenga pinnata (Wurmb.) Merr.) is a plantation plant that belongs to the Araceae family or areca nut. Knowledge of agronomic characters which include vegetative and generative aspects of sugar palm plants is needed to determine the effect on the resulting sap product. This study aims to 1) determine the agronomic diversity of sugar palm in Sunyalangu Village, Karanglewas District, Banyumas Regency. 2) Knowing the influence of agronomic factors on the yield of sap production on sugar palms. This research was conducted by means of a survey in Semaya Hamlet, Sunyalangu Village, Karanglewas District, Banyumas Regency. The research was carried out from August 2021 to March 2022. The survey was conducted to determine the sample points of sugar palm plants, interview data related to the social aspects of sugar palm farmers and environmental conditions around the sample. The sampling method was carried out by determining the yield of sugar palm (TM) plants that were being harvested. Measurements were made on the vegetative and generative characters and the yield of sap production, then analyzed using Excel tools. The results showed that the results of observations of sugar palm plants in Sunyalangu Village based on altitude, namely 600, 600-700, and 700 m above sea level showed a diversity of vegetative and generative characters of plants, as well as the yield of sap production associated with the age factor of the plant. Sugar palm agronomic factors in vegetative variables in the form of number of leaflets have an influence on production volume and sugar content contained (brix), while other agronomic factors on vegetative and generative variables have no effect on production volume, sugar content (brix), and sugar content. sap pH.
