| Judul Artikel | Perbedaan Waktu Transpor Mukosiliar Hidung pada Perokok Kretek Filter dan Non Filter |
| Abstrak | Hidung berfungsi sebagai pertahanan lini pertama, terdiri dari silia epitel respirasi dan palut lendir yang membentuk mekanisme transpor mukosiliar (TMS). TMS berfungsi untuk membawa benda asing yang terperangkap dari udara inspirasi ke arah nasofaring. Merokok dalam jangka waktu tertentu dapat mengganggu fungsi sistem tersebut, namun saat ini penggunaan filter pada rokok diyakini dapat mengurangi pajanan rokok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan waktu TMS hidung pada perokok kretek filter dan non filter. Jenis rokok ditentukan berdasarkan kuesioner dan daftar pertanyaan, dikelompokkan menjadi 2 kelompok, yaitu perokok kretek filter dan kretek non filter. Pengukuran waktu TMS menggunakan uji sakarin. Partikel sakarin (1 mm) diletakkan di ujung depan konka inferior, kemudian waktu diukur sampai terdapat rasa manis di tenggorokan dalam satuan menit. Uji komparatif perbedaan waktu TMS pada rokok kretek filter dan non filter dengan desain penelitian cross sectional menggunakan uji T tidak berpasangan untuk analisis beda rerata waktu TMS dengan jenis rokok. Jumlah sampel 58 orang, 29 orang perokok kretek filter dan 29 orang perokok kretek non filter. Hasil penelitian adalah p > 0,05 untuk waktu transpor mukosiliar antara perokok kretek filter dan non filter, dengan rerata perokok kretek filter 12,02 menit (SD ± 3,08) dan perokok kretek non filter 11,53 menit (SD ± 3,69). Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna waktu TMS antara perokok kretek filter dan non filter. |
| Abstrak (Inggris) | The nose serves as a first line of defense, consisting of respiratory epithelial cilia and mucus in mucociliary transport (MCT) mechanism. MCT brings foreign object from air inspiration to nasopharynx. Smoking in a certain period of time impair the function, but this time filters on cigarettes believed to reduce exposure of cigarettes. The objective is to determine the difference of nasal MCT in filter and non filter kretek smokers.Type of cigarette is determined by questionnaire and a list of questions, grouped into 2 groups, filter and non filter kretek smokers. Measurement of nasal MCT time by the saccharin test. Saccharin particle (1 mm) is placed at the front end of the inferior conchae, and then measured the time until there is sweetness in the throat in minutes. Comparative test of nasal MCT differences on filter and non filter kretek smokers with cross sectional design using unpaired T test for the analysis of the mean difference MCT time to the type of cigarettes. The number of sample is 58 people, 29 people of filter kretek smokers and 29 people of non filter kretek smokers. The Result is p> 0.05 in MCT time between filter and non filter kretek smokers, filter kretek smokers with a mean 12,02 minutes (SD ± 3,08) and non filter kretek smokers 11,53 minutes (SD ± 3,69).
