AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui penerapan budidaya jeruk siam yang dilakukan oleh petani, mengetahui produktivitas jeruk siam, dan mengetahui faktor yang menjadi kendala dalam budidaya jeruk siam di wilayah penelitian. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Cilacap, dengan wilayah penelitian meliputi tiga Kecamatan yaitu Kecamatan Karangpucung, Jeruklegi, dan Sampang. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai bulan Desember 2012 sampai Januari 2013. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survai. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara Purposive random sampling. Setiap Kecamatan ditetapkan 2 desa sampel, sampel responden disetiap desa diambil masing-masing antara 6 sampai 8 petani. Variabel yang diamati meliputi ketinggian tempat, pH tanah, dan aspek budidaya yang dilakukan petani. Data kualitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif komparatif dan data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan uji f pola tersarang (Nested analisys). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi rata-rata per tanaman jeruk siam di Kecamatan Karangpucung 16,01 kg/pohon, Kecamatan Jeruklegi 34,52 kg/pohon, dan Kecamatan Sampang 26,87 kg/pohon. Produksi jeruk siam antar Kecamatan tidak berpengaruh nyata, tetapi pada Desa Brebeg dan Jeruklegi Kulon berpengaruh sangat nyata pada produksi rata-rata per tanaman dalam Kecamatan Jeruklegi. Teknik budidaya tanaman jeruk siam di wilayah penelitian sebagian besar masih dilakukan secara sederhana.
Abstrak (Inggris)This study aimed to determine the application of siam orange cultivation by farmers, knowing citrus productivity, and identify factors that become obstacles in citrus cultivation in the study area. The study was conducted in Cilacap regency and the study area includes three Districts, they were Karangpucung, Jeruklegi, and Sampang. The study was conducted from December 2012 to January 2013. The method used was survey method. Sampling was done by purposive random sampling. 2 sample villages were set in each District; the sample of respondents in each village took 6 to 8 farmers. Observed variables included altitude, soil pH, 2 and aspects of cultivation by farmers. Qualitative data were analyzed by comparative descriptive and quantitative data were analyzed with a nested pattern of F test (Nested analysis). The results showed that the average yield per citrusplant in Karangpucung District was 16,01 kg/tree, Jeruklegi District was 34,52 kg/tree, and Sampang District was 26,87 kg/tree. Siam orange production between the Districts had no significant effect, but in Brebeg village and Jeruklegi Kulon had very significant effect on the average production per plant in Jeruklegi District. Siam orange cultivation techniques in the research area were still largely done in simple ways.
