Judul ArtikelPEMANFAATAN FORMULA CAIR Pseudomonas fluorescens P60 UNTUK MENGENDALIKAN PENYAKIT LAYU BAKTERI PADA TANAMAN KENTANG
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : 1) pengaruh pemberian P. fluorescens P60 terhadap penyakit layu bakteri yang disebabkan R. solanacearum pada tanaman kentang serta pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kentang, dan 2) pengaruh pemberian P. fluorescens P60 terhadap pengimbasan ketahanan tanaman kentang terhadap bakteri R. solanacearum. Penelitian dilakukan di lahan kentang di Desa Serang, Kecamatan Karangreja, Kabupaten Purbalingga serta di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, dari bulan April sampai Juli 2012. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), terdiri atas enam perlakuan dengan empat kali ulangan. Perlakuan meliputi kontrol, perendaman bibit 15 menit, penyiraman, dan penyemprotan P60 1, 3, 5, dan 7 kali dan penyiraman bakterisida dengan bahan aktif oksitetrasiklin dan penyemprotan fungisida dengan bahan aktif klorotalonil 5 kali. Variabel yang diamati meliputi masa inkubasi, intensitas penyakit, laju infeksi, kepadatan akhir R. solanacearum dan P. fluorescens, pertambahan tinggi tanaman, bobot segar dan kering tanaman, jumlah umbi, jumlah cabang, bobot segar dan kering akar, bobot umbi, dan analisis jaringan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan perendaman bibit 15 menit, penyiraman dan penyemprotan P60 7 kali mampu memperlambat masa inkubasi dan menekan penyakit layu bakteri pada tanaman kentang dengan menurunkan intensitas penyakit sebesar 57,30%, serta meningkatkan pertambahan tinggi tanaman dan bobot umbi masing-masing sebesar 15,48% dan 43,06%. Perlakuan pemberian P. fluorescens P60 dapat mengimbas ketahanan tanaman kentang dengan meningkatkan kandungan senyawa fenol pada tanaman.
Abstrak (Inggris)Research was aimed at knowing: 1) the effect of P. fluorescens P60 to bacterial wilt disease that caused by R. solanacearum on potato and on growth and yield of potato crop, and 2) the effect of P. fluorescens P60 against the induction of plant resistance to bacterial potato R. Solanacearum. This research was carried out at potato field at Serang Village, Karangreja Subdistrict, Purbalingga Regency and at the Laboratory of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, from April until July 2012. Randomized Block Design was used with six treatments and four replicates. The treatments tested were control, soaking of seedling for 15 minutes, dranching, and spraying P60 for 1, 3, 5, and 7 times and spraying bactericide with active ingredients of oksitetrasiklin and fungicide with active ingredients of chlorothalonyl for 5 times. Variables observed were incubation period, disease intensity, infection rate, late population of R. solanacearum and P. fluorescens, the increase in plant height, fresh and dry weight of crop, number of tubers, number of branches, fresh and dry weight of root, weight of branches, and tissues analysis. Result of the reseach showed that soaking of seedling treatment for 15 minutes, dranching, and spraying P60 for 7 times could delay the incubation period, and supress the disease intensity on potato was 57,30% and on the crop height and yield as 15,48% and 43,06%, respectively.Treatment application P. fluorescens P60 could induce resistance of potato plants with increased the content of phenolic compounds in plants.
