Kata Kunci: pengujian penerjemahan, keakurasian isi, metode back translation, Alkitab Penerjemahan adalah penggantian materi tekstual dalam suatu bahasa dengan materi tekstual yang sepadan dalam bahasa yang lain. Terdapat beberapa metode untuk menguji keakuratan suatu terjemahan. Metode back translation adalah sebuah metode yang unik, karena back translation menerjemahkan suatu teks terjemahan kembali ke bahasa aslinya dan metode ini dikerjakan oleh seorang penerjemah bebas tanpa membaca teks aslinya. Studi ini adalah tentang pengujian keakuratan isi untuk mencari tahu keakuratan dari teks Alkitab Matius 5: 1 – 12 (ESV). Penelitian ini dibuat untuk menjawab pertanyaan – pertanyaan ini; perbedaan – perbedaan yang dapat diidentifikasi dari metode back translation antara teks asli/teks sumber dan teks back translation dalam sebuah teks terjemahan. Dan, keakuratan teks terjemahan “Sabda Bahagia” (Matius 5: 1 – 12) dalam Bible Works 6 berdasarkan metode back translation. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk yang menggambarkan keakuratan dari teks terjemahan dalam teks Alkitab Matius 5: 1 – 12 dan menganalisis keakuratan isi menggunakan metode back translation. Data primer dari penelitian ini dari dua sumber; teks bahasa Inggris diambil dari software Bible Works 6 dan teks Indonesia yang juga diambil dari software Bible works 6. Sedangkan data sekunder diambil dari teks bahasa Inggris (teks back translation) yang di terjemahkan oleh penerjemah yang tidak terikat. Untuk mencari tahu keakurasian isi dari teks Alkitab Matius 5: 1 - 12 (ESV), teks back translation dibandingkan dengan teks aslinya oleh seorang penilai yang menggunakan table penilaian. Setelah analisis ditemukan bahwa teks Alkitab Matius 5: 1 – 12 (ESV) memiliki beberapa perbedaan dalam kata dan frase antara teks asli dan teks back translation, sebagai contoh; perbedaan dalam kata, penghilangan atau pengurangan kata, penambahan kata, perbedaan dalam frase dan penambahan frase. Dalam analisis juga ditemukan bahwa teks alkitab ”Sabda Bahagia” akurat dan ini dapat dilihat dari tabel penilaian penguji. |

Keywords: testing of translation, content accuracy, back translation method, bible Translation is the replacement of textual material in one language by equivalent textual materials in another language. There are some methods to test the translation accuracy. The back translation method is a unique method, because it translates the translation text back to the original language and it’s done by an independent translator without reading the original text. This study is about the testing content accuracy to find out the Bible text accuracy in Matthew 5: 1 – 12 (ESV). This research is made to answer these questions, the differences between the original/source text and the back-translated text in translation text identified by Back Translation Method. And, the accurate of the translation of “The Beatitudes” (Matthew 5: 1-12) in Bible Works 6 based on back translation method. This research used descriptive qualitative method to describe the accuracy of translation text in Bible text Matthew 5: 1 – 12 and analyzed content accuracy used back translation method. The primary data of this research were taken from two sources; English text was taken from the software Bible Works 6 and the Indonesian text was also taken from the software Bible Works 6. Whereas, the secondary data were taken from English text (back translation text) done by the independent translator. To know the content accuracy of Bible text Matthew 5: 1 – 12 (ESV), the back translation text was compared to the original text by the rater and used a scoring table. The analysis found that the Bible text Matthew 5: 1 – 12 (ESV) has some differences in word and phrase between the original text and the back translation text, for example; different word, omitted word, adding word, different phrase and adding phrase. The analysis also found that the Bible text “The Beatitudes” is accurate and it can be seen from the rater scoring table. |
